Calculus

Calculus is branch of mathematics concerned with the calculation of instantaneous rates of change (differential calculus) and the summation of infinitely many small factors to determine some whole (integral calculus).

Chapters

Functions

What is a Function? A function relates an input to an output. It is like a machine that has an input and an output. And the output is related somehow to the input. " f (x) = ... " is the classic way of writing a function.

Derivative

The derivative of a function is the rate of change of the function's output relative to its input value.

Integral

Integration is the calculation of an integral. Integrals in maths are used to find many useful quantities such as areas, volumes, displacement, etc. When we speak about integrals, it is related to usually definite integrals. The indefinite integrals are used for antiderivatives.

Applications

Applications in finance, economics, areas and volumes.
